de:volt Documentation
de:volt is a browser-based electronics prototyping and circuit simulation tool. Design, simulate, and iterate on circuits in real-time — no downloads, no setup.
What you can do
- Build circuits on a virtual breadboard with 90+ catalog parts: resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, LEDs, Arduino boards, 555 timers, 74-series and CD4000 logic, EEPROMs, motor drivers, sensors, and more.
- Run live simulation at 60 Hz using a pure-TypeScript Modified Nodal Analysis engine running in a WebWorker.
- Probe and measure with the oscilloscope and the Pro analysis workbench — logic analyzer, operating point, DC/temperature/frequency sweeps, and Monte Carlo runs.
- Save projects to the cloud, organise them into folders, keep a full version history, and share or co-edit them with others.
- Export PNG board images, JSON, a BOM (CSV), and a print-ready PDF project report.
- Learn electronics with de:volt Learn — guided, objective-checked courses and live classrooms.
- Ask the AI assistant to review, explain, fix, and generate circuits.

Status
de:volt is in public beta. Cloud saves, magic-link auth, Pro billing, Arduino simulation, the AI assistant, collaboration, the analysis workbench, exports, and de:volt Learn are live across the de:volt production sites. Simulation is for educational prototyping and must be verified before real-world use.
